Day 13 – Today was a time of celebration, my son Jesse turned 5 years old today. We celebrated this morning with balloons, gifts, fruit pancakes, love, and laughter. My son is such a blessing in my life as the scripture proclaims. He truly is my little gift and reward. For the last 5 years, my son has taught me so much about life and God. He has been the opportunity to see through the eyes of a child and to explore the world with fun, imagination, and adventure. Jesse has challenged me to be a better parent, to practice patience and to love without limits. I am often surprised that God entrusted me with this amazing little boy. I pray that as the years continue I discover more of him and who God created him to be. I pray that I will be a mother that fosters an environment that will help him reach his fullest potential. Lord continue to teach me how to love my son as you love him. Lord, I pray that you will continue to protect him as he adventures through this life and that he spreads his joy among others as he does to me. Thank you God for my beautiful son and the past 5 years, I look forward to his future and celebrating many more years with him.
